After helping you design your part and produce a 3D printed prototype, 3 Space can assist you with both high and low volume manufacturing.  We offer a variety of molding services, including injection molding, thermoforming and casting. These services offer a broad range of plastic, rubber and metal materials. We can facilitate both low-volume production for field testing and prototyping, and high-volume production.

Injection Molding

3 Space offers both low and high-volume injection molding services. We are able to inject a large number of plastics and elastomers including ABS, polycarbonate, PVC, polyethylene, TPU and TPR. For complex parts, we are able to facilitate overmolding and insert molding. Molds can be textured or given an SPI surface finish.

We offer thin gauge thermoforming services for a variety of standard thermoplastics. Thermoforming applications include clam shell packaging, blister packs, inserts and more. We also offer ancillary services such as trimming and assembly. 3D printed tooling may be an option for some thermoforming projects.

Compression Molding

Compression molding offers a cost-effective solution for the production of rubber and rubber-like parts. A variety of materials can be compression molded, including thermoset elastomers, natural rubbers, neoprene, silicone and more. Compression molding can facilitate both low-volume prototyping and high-volume production.

Silicone Molding

Silicone molding is a cost effective method for producing durable, highly detailed parts. Urethane materials allow for a wide range of mechanical properties and are able to simulate both plastics and rubbers. Tooling for silicone molding can be 3D printed, further driving down the cost.

Blow Molding

We offer blow molding services for creating hollow parts such as bottles, jugs, tanks and canister. Blow molding offers a selection of thermoplastics and elastomers comparable to injection molding. Blow molded parts also have a comparable surface finish to injection molding and molds can be textured or given SPI surface finishes.

We offer a variety of casting services, including die casting, sand casting, and investment casting. These services collectively provide a large selection of metal materials and high flexibility in part size and production volume. Depending on the material being used an the volume being produced, casting patterns may be 3D printed.
